    How to apply

    Application period: No relevant regulations.

    Application procedures and required documents:

    1. Completed application form for changing classification【HS Model 106】 (forms can be downloaded from MGTO Industry Net or available from MGTO/MGSC/MGSC-I);
      1. If the license owner of the establishment is a company, the relevant application form must be signed by the company’s lawful representative(s) according to the signature(s) on the identity document(s), with a copy of the representative(s)’ identity document(s) (front and reverse side on the same page) attached.
      2. If the license owner of the establishment is an individual, he/she should sign the relevant application form according to the signature on the identity document, with a copy of the identity document (front and reverse side on same page) attached.
      3. If the license owner of the establishment authorises others to make the application on his/her behalf, the original letter of authorisation with notarised signature(s), or a certified copy of such, must be submitted. Copy of the identity document(s) of the authorised person(s) must be enclosed (front and reverse side on same page).
    2. Completed enquiry form for hotel  (forms can be downloaded from MGTO Industry Net or available from MGTO/MGSC/MGSC-I).
    3. If the change of classification also involves a change of facilities, an additional application form【HS Model 105】 (for the change of facilities) should also be submitted.
    4. Original identity document of person submitting documents must be produced.

    Fees

    1. Fees: Free of charge.
    2. If the change of classification also involves a change of facilities, MOP 500.00 to be paid as fee for inspection of facilities when application for inspection of facilities is submitted.

    Place of application

    • Macao Government Tourism Office – Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank draft (It should be made payable to “Direcção dos Serviços de Turismo”);
    • Macao Government Services Centre / Macao Government Services Centre in Islands – Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank draft (It should be made payable to “Instituto para os Assuntos Municipais”)

    Important information
    According to Administrative Regulation no. 22/2008

    • Payment can be made by only one of the 3 means above in each payment;
    • Exact amount payable should be put on the cheque and bank draft;
    • The date on the cheque should be no more than 3 days prior to the date when payment is made.
    • The cheque should be certified if the payment is equal to or exceeding MOP50,000.00.
