  • Renewal of license


    Application procedure and documents required

    1. License is renewed once a year, while the renewal application should be made in October.
    2. The following documents should be submitted at time of application:
    i) Complete application form for renewal of hotel license【HS Model 103】 or application form for renewal of restaurant, nightclub, bar license【HS Model 104】 (forms can be downloaded from MGTO Industry Net or available from MGTO/MGSC/MGSC-I).
    - If the license owner of the establishment is a company, the relevant application form must be signed by the company's lawful representative(s) according to the signature(s) on the identity document(s), with a copy of the representative(s)' identity document(s) (front and reverse side on the same page) attached.
    - If the license owner of the establishment is an individual, he/she should sign the relevant application form according to the signature on the identity document, with a copy of the identity document (front and reverse side on same page) attached.
    - If the license owner of the establishment authorises others to make the application on his/her behalf, the original letter of authorisation with notarised signature(s), or a certified copy of such, must be submitted. Copy of the identity document(s) of the authorised person(s) must be enclosed (front and reverse side on same page).
    ii) If the establishments are equipped with elevators’ equipments, certificate of safe operation of elevators’ equipments (annual inspection) – an original and a copy must be submitted ;
    3. Original identity document of person submitting documents must be produced.

    According to Article no. 131 of Portaria no. 83/96/M dated 1st April, fees for license renewal will be doubled (stamp duty remains the same as stated above) if the application for license renewal is made beyond the specified statutory period (i.e. October in each year).

    Place of Application

    Macao Government Tourism Office – Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank draft (It should be made payable to "Direcção dos Serviços de Turismo");
    Macao Government Services Centre/Macao Government Services Centre in Islands – Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank draft (It should be made payable to "Instituto para os Assuntos Municipais").

    Important Information

    According to Administrative Regulation no. 22/2008,
    Payment can be made by only one of the 3 means above in each payment;
    Exact amount payable should be put on the cheque and bank draft;
    The date on the cheque should be no more than 3 days prior to the date when payment is made.
    The cheque should be certified if the payment is equal to or exceeding MOP50,000.00.

    Performance pledge
