The seminar engaged over 300 participants.

MGTO Director Senna Fernandes remarked in her speech that growing a consensus on the endeavor for personal data protection among industry professionals is one of the major steps to push forward quality tourism. She expressed hope that the seminar can encourage industry professionals to integrate a deep awareness of personal data protection with their day-to-day work culture. In doing so, they can continue to optimize their service quality and contribute to reinforcement of Macao’s branding as an international tourist city, as well as propelling Macao’s development into a city ideal for living and travel.

The speaker also led a discussion and analysis on the potential issues and cases encountered by industry professionals when handling personal data in daily work, besides answering participants’ enquiries about processing and use of personal data.
