Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) partners with UnionPay International to promote information about travel and special offers to travelers via the “Macao Ready Go!” online platform. With the Office’s support, UnionPay International also leverages a confluence of online and offline promotional offers to attract visitors for vacation and shopping in Macao, in turn contributing to revival of local tourism activities.
MGTO and UnionPay International forged a new collaboration to enhance visitors’ travel experience in Macao through a targeted supply of relevant information about travel and special offers, tour routes, tourist attractions, dining recommendations and so forth, made possible by big data technology. The company also presents a variety of promotions and discount offers which involve over 10,000 local businesses such as shopping malls, retail stores, restaurants and more. To readily inform visitors about these promotional offers, UnionPay International leverages travel information from both the MGTO’s online platform “Macao Ready Go!” and the Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme, while spotlighting a wide array of travel tips, special offers and travel guides featuring local tour routes, culinary delights and attractions not to miss, through different channels offered by its partner entities.
UnionPay International joins hands with over 10,000 local businesses to offer a range of promotions and propagate Macao’s travel information among Mainland visitors. Starting from today, users of UnionPay card, UnionPay mobile QuickPass and UnionPay app can enjoy related promotional offers at UnionPay’s partner businesses in Macao. As issuing of travel permits from Mainland China to Macao is progressively reinstated, the promotional activities concerned will be adjusted in accord and expected to attract more visitors to Macao for travel and shopping.
