The Macao Special Administrative Region Government will present the roadshow “Macao Week in Hangzhou” in Hangzhou from 26 – 29 March 2021. Following the “Beijing Macao Week” in Beijing last September, the “Macao Week in Hangzhou” will enliven Hubin Pedestrian Street with a mega roadshow in Hangzhou to showcase the city’s diverse offer of travel experiences and commercial opportunities to locals and visitors there. Raising Macao’s profile as a healthy, safe and quality destination, the event seeks to attract Mainland visitors for travel and spending in Macao to expand visitor source and spur economic revival.

Macao Week in Hangzhou showcases colorful dimensions “tourism +”

An opening ceremony will lift the curtain upon the Macao Week in Hangzhou on 26 March, following a Macao tourism and MICE presentation seminar to be held for industry exchange and cooperation between both cities on 25 March. The Macao Week in Hangzhou involves various governmental entities from Macao as well as the support of different enterprises and commerce associations which will join the organizers to unfold a mega roadshow on Hubin Pedestrian Street on 26 – 29 March to showcase Macao’s tourism, commerce and trade, culture, sports, entertainment and more dimensions to locals and visitors. The event will promote Macao as a healthy, safe and quality destination to visit, as well as integration across fields such as tourism + MICE, tourism + culture and creativity, tourism + e-commerce and tourism + sports.

The roadshow will feature an array of booths themed as follows: overview about Macao, events and cultural tourism; Macao’s World Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage as well as cultural and creative industries; sport events; MinM made in Macao and local brands; products from Portuguese-speaking countries as well as a showcase of Macao’s tourism industry jointly presented by pertinent integrated tourism enterprises and airline company. A LED screen modeled after the Ruins of St. Paul’s will radiate the city’s charm at the main stage, whereas tourist information counters will provide Macao travel tips at the venue.

The roadshow will dazzle with glow-in-the-dark dragon dance, lion dance, magic show, Portuguese folk dance, street dance, special dance and the local music band Tuna Macanese from Macao among different wonderful performances.
