With the relatively stable pandemic situation in Macao, several governmental entities from Macao will once again pour concerted efforts with local enterprises and commerce associations to unfold a physical event for destination promotion in the Mainland — the “Macao Week in Chongqing” will stage a mega roadshow from 2 – 6 December in tandem with a presentation seminar, gastronomic promotion and more highlights to spotlight Macao as a safe and charming destination radiant with the diverse dynamic of “tourism +” to members of the trade and residents in Chongqing. The event is organized to attract Mainland visitors to spend more and enjoy vacations in Macao, propelling tourism and the economy towards a brighter outlook.

Mega roadshow manifests Macao’s “tourism +” glamour

The “Macao Week in Chongqing” will mark the fifth event of its kind held in the Mainland this year following the previous ones held in Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and Chengdu. As one of the major highlights in the Macao Week in Chongqing, a mega roadshow will be unveiled on 3 December. The event will liven up the Jiefangbei Square at Yuzhong District in Chongqing from 2 – 6 December for five consecutive days to showcase Macao’s colorful dimensions of tourism, trade and commerce, culture and creativity, sports, entertainment and more. There will be an array of zones/booths themed as follows: overview about Macao and its gastronomy, festivals and events; MAK MAK Shop; Macao Good Shop; Macao’s sport events; “A glimpse into Macao Grand Prix Museum”; Macao’s tourism products for sale; trade, commerce and economy of Macao; an informative display from Economic and Technological Development Bureau, as well as a showcase of Macao’s tourism industry presented by pertinent integrated tourism enterprises and airline company. There will be a tourist information counter offering Macao travel tips on site.

During the roadshow, Chongqing residents and visitors can enjoy mesmerizing performances at the main stage on schedule such as performances by singers from Macao, Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, light dance show and pop dance show that exudes modernity. Macao Tourism Mascot “MAK MAK” will present vigorous performance with the original song “Soar with MAK MAK” from Macao. Arranged by the six major integrated tourism enterprises, more distinctive dance and singing performances will enliven the roadshow and convey Macao’s warm hospitality.

Abundant travel offers + diverse promotional channels

The event will present over RMB-100-million special travel offers on air tickets, hotel accommodation, dining and more for sale at the roadshow and relevant platforms. There will be check-in points for wedding and travel photography at the roadshow, as well as a showcase of related tour products as fresh travel experiences to offer. The organizer also rolls out an extensive promotional campaign for the Macao Week in Chongqing, not only through online and offline platforms but also engaging different KOLs for their wide influence in the Mainland.
