The visitation restrictions of the abovementioned venues will remain in effect until 31 August. MGTO will reinforce cleaning of the facilities, both indoor and outdoor, maintaining strict adherence to the prevention measures against the pandemic.

MGTO calls the attention of the facilities under its supervision to strictly comply with pandemic prevention guidelines upon reopening
In addition, according to Executive Order No.118/2021, the special measure imposed by Executive Order No.111/2021 will be lifted after the stroke of midnight on 18 August 2021. Among others, facilities under the supervision of MGTO, including saunas, massage parlours, health clubs, karaoke lounges, bars, nightclubs, discotheques, dance parlours, and cabaret venues will be allowed to resume operations.

MGTO will inform the corresponding facilities about the related Executive Order. To safeguard public health, MGTO will also conduct patrols continuously to ensure sustained adherence of the facilities to the related pandemic prevention measures of the Health Bureau after they reopened. Since the temporary closure of the aforesaid facilities, until 16 August, MGTO carried out 200 inspections, to oversee the facilities on their compliance with the measure to remain closed.

From 3 August when Macao entered the state of immediate prevention up to 16 August, MGTO received over 1,500 cases of enquires and requests for assistance. The cases were mainly related to pandemic prevention measures, refund of hotel accommodation, visas, hotels for medical observation, travel information, exit and entry, transportation arrangements, etc. MGTO has followed up with the cases or transferred them to relevant entities.
