Themed showcase zones manifest Macao’s glamour of “tourism +”

The “Safe & Quality DestinationGlamourous Macao” Travel Roadshow in Shenzhen weaves together the array of mega events and community tourism activities to be held in Macao in November and December by setting up various themed showcase zones such as “Macau Grand Prix”, “Macau Food Festival”, “Macao International Marathon”, “Macao Light Festival” and “Light up Macao Drone Gala”, to manifest Macao’s diverse offer of “tourism +” and enable Shenzhen residents to experience Macao’s unique charm of mega events.

Macao Tourism Mascot MAK MAK delivers dance performance at the main stage according to schedule and interacts with Shenzhen residents for photo opportunities. There are also workshops on site for spectators to experience painting and other DIY crafts themed around Macao and experience the destination from different angles.

Shenzhen and Macao trade jointly promote “tourism + MICE” development

Seizing the valuable opportunity brought by staging the Travel Roadshow in Shenzhen, MGTO joined hands with the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) to organize a Macao tourism and MICE presentation seminar in the city on 5 November to present the strengths of Macao’s tourism and MICE industries to the trade there. Since early March 2021, the two offices have together rolled out in-person promotions for tourism and MICE in different cities such as Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing and Huizhou across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area successively.

At the seminar, MGTO introduced Macaos latest tourism development and endeavors to revive its tourism market, besides promoting Macao Highlight Tours, “Macao Full of Fun Smart Trip Planner” as well as Macao’s diverse tourism resources and products for industry partners of the city to know more about Macaos diverse offer of travel experiences. In addition, IPIM presented Macaos advantages in the MICE industry and encouraged MICE organizers to hold related activities in Macao. The seminar also featured business matching and networking on site, facilitating exchange and cooperation between related industry operators from Macao and Shenzhen. The seminar engaged over 100 travel and MICE industry delegates and media of Shenzhen.

Abundant special offers for first-hand experience of Macao
While the Roadshow is staged, MGTO and Lvmama.com are jointly offering Macao hotel packages and discounted tickets to travel attractions in Macao, allowing Shenzhen residents to enjoy special offers for their future visits to Macao and first-hand experience of Macao’s events and festivals.
